“Cinco de Mayo has come to represent a celebration of the contributions that Mexican Americans and all Hispanics have made to America.” Latinos have fought in all of America’s wars, beginning with the Revolutionary War. Many Latinos are fighting and dying for our country today in Iraq, just as several of their ancestors fought for freedom in Mexico over a century ago. ~ Joe Baca.
Happy Cinco De Mayo Everyone!!!! A great way to show a hats off to the brave hispanic men and women who have fought to provide America with the freedom we enjoy today! Even today so many brave soldiers are still providing the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq. My prayers and thanksgivings are ever lifted to you brave men and women! On a lighter note, I found this awesome little mexican style dress a couple of weeks ago and broke it out for a night on the SL town. Ty asked me… “Is that your outfit for Cinco de Mayo?” I hadn’t even thought of that! But… “Sí!!!” I hope you enjoy my tribute to Cinco De Mayo! Have a great one!!!!
